Dekontee-Joyce-Doboyou-HowardCo-Founder / Executive Director – Liberia

Dekontee Joyce Doboyou-Howard was born on July 18, 1977, to the union of Mr. Jacob K. Doboyou and Mrs. Beatrice Jiah Doboyou. She started her primary education at the Calvary Baptist Junior High in 1982; however, due to the civil war, she migrated to Robertfield. Upon her returned, she enrolled at the St. Teresa Convent High School, where she graduated in 1995.

In 1996, she started attending the College of West Africa College Program of Business, where she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting. While at CWA Junior College, she also began attending the University of Liberia, the highest institution of learning in our country, where she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BBA) in Management, with emphasis in Accounting. She re-enrolled at the University of Liberia in 2011, this time with a quest to acquire her MBA in Finance.

She started her job experience at an early age in 1999 as a Bookkeeper at the Organization for Children and Adolescent Mothers (OCAM). In 2004, Mrs. Doboyor-Howard worked as an Office Manager at the PIMEX shipping agency.

From 2005 -2006 she worked with the Ministry of Finance as a Financial Analyst. She currently works at Conservation International as Finance Manager, where after 1 year of being hired on as a Finance/Admin Assistant, her excellent performance lead to her current promoted status as Manager.

In May 2010 she established the non-profit organization Liberia Initiative for Less Fortunate Children, where because of her passion for humanitarian service and children, she has worked as an advocate for hundreds of less fortunate children.

She presently serves as the Children Ministry Coordinator in the Eliza Turner AME Church. She is a mentor for girls in her community as well as for the America Embassy Girls Scholarship Program.

Dekontee is happily married to Mr. John Boye Howard & they are blessed with a daughter and a son.
